using https map services does not return data

I am using the Election polling place application modified for my data. It works fully internally but the external version does not return data as expected. Is there anything to modify? I have modified the proxy.config to reference the map services.

are you getting any errors in firebug? is the proxy on the same external server?

I do not know about the proxy setup other than the proxy.config in the application folder

Working with the ESRI support I found that the production server had a different projection for the data, not sure how that happened as it was copied from development server.
All is well now.
