topic ArcGIS API not showing up in IBM Portal script portlet in ArcGIS JavaScript Maps SDK Questions

I'm trying to use the ArcGIS API in an IBM WebSphere Portal version 8.5 by applying this example [ArcGIS API for JavaScript] in a script portlet. When I am designing the script portlet, which reuses the markup from the example verbatim, I am able to see the map in preview mode [here] [here]. When I close the editor and try to view it on the page only the text appears but no map [here] [here]. Using developer tools there are three errors in the console [here].

IBM Portal uses dojo in its page theme and I thought this might be an issue for the API example. So I switched to a page theme that did not use dojo and while the first error did not come up the second two did.

Does anyone have any ideas what might be causing the map not to render?
