topic Get point x & y from multipoint in ArcGIS JavaScript Maps SDK Questions

Anyone fill me in on how to get the x y coordinates of the selected point of a multipoint feature class?

I have a multipoint featureclass of bridges. I use the points to populate a grid with the name/location of the bridges. The use can click on the grid and select a bridge.
I want to use the selected bridge as the feature in a popup but I need the x y of the selected bridge. It doesn't seem to be as easy as a point featureclass point.geometry.x or something.
The popup works fine of course if I click on the feature on the map but I would like to use the grid as a second method of selection.

Thanks,
Keith
