Print Dijit / Print Web Map Task Error

I'm trying to incorporate the print sample found here: https://developers.arcgis.com/en/javascript/jssamples/widget_print_esri_request.html into a tweaked version of the polling place app and am getting the following error when I choose a map template from the drop-down:

Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property 'layerIds' of undefined PrintTask.xd.js:19

Any help on this one?

I am getting the same error did you ever find a solution?

It's working now, but I don't remember exactly what fixed it.

I think it had to do with getting the proxy working.
Have you done that yet?
