Req 4 Help: Using PNG's as point symbols for Dynamic Map Service

Basically, I have a PNG I want to use to show a point dataset (nice symbol of a bus stop with alpha channel shadow for a bus stop dataset). Can anyone tell me how to do it, or give me some ideas where I might start looking?

Use a query task to get your points and then add them to a graphics layer using a picture marker symbol.

Exactly what I was thinking - but was hoping there was a server based solution to using alpha channel PNG's as point symbology.

Actually, does anyone know if this is possible in an ArcGIS 10 environment?

I don't think it's possible. You would need to use your .png to symbolize your points in your map service, which isn't possible. AFAIK, you can only use .bmp and .emf's. Maybe post something in the general server discussion forum? Someone there might have a better idea.
