Is there a way to clone / copy a map (all layers included) ?

(Please excuse my english)

For printing it (Is there a way to print 4.0 MapView ? ), I need to clone / copy a map from the page where the users can use (and in my case, edit by drawing on) to an empty page (js created iframe) with different dimensions.

Is there a way to do it ?
I tried to clone the dom node (and its content) that contains the map view, but resizing it give horrible result (tiles overides other tiles).
