Converting Flex Viewer app's to JavaScript

Based on Esri's posting about not supporting the Flex and Windows Silverlight api's beyond the current version, I am in the process of converting our current Flex Viewer applications to JavaScript, I will be taking JavaScript training, but I am wondering how easy it will be to convert my current applications with their functionality to JavaScript? Thank you for your comments and ideas in advance. Here are the links to a couple of our more widely used app's to let you know what I have.

Chad,

The Web AppBuilder Developers Edition (WAB) is probably you best bet to get started. There are many resources on GeoNet to help, and many users have started creating custom widgets to help us all out. Join and start following Web AppBuilder for ArcGIS and Web AppBuilder Custom Widgets and ArcGIS API for JavaScript

WAB does require access to ArcGIS Online or a Portal account to get started....if you prefer to avoid that, the Javascript API is the place to start with the many samples available. ArcGIS API for JavaScript

I recommend this book for you, it will cover all your needs. For sure that the tutorial and samples are very useful too.

Thank you, I have been looking into the new Web appbuilder and the API, and was not sure if that was the best route or not. Great info. I will be checking out the blog, thank you.
