A sample of this can be seen here:&amp;nbsp;&lt;A class="link-titled" href="https://developers.arcgis.com/javascript/latest/sample-code/sandbox/index.html?sample=layers-dynamicdatalayer-table-join" title="https://developers.arcgis.com/javascript/latest/sample-code/sandbox/index.html?sample=layers-dynamicdatalayer-table-join"&gt;ArcGIS API for JavaScript Sandbox&lt;/A&gt;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;However, when you create a new layer by joining a mapImageLayer with a table, you loose the symbology that is available in the mapImageLayer, and instead have to define your own renderer.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Is it somehow possible to force the joined layer to use the symbology from the mapImageLayer it is derived from?&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>
