Can you add popups to the vector tiles

With arcgis pro it is possible to add highlighted fields to the vector tiles. It would be nice if the arcgis api would have functionality to acces this data to show a popup. I know it's possibe to change the labels based on the highligted fields, but no popup yet and no acces to the field info.

If I use open layers instead on the vectortile layer it is possibel to retrieve the field info.

Come on ESRI, Geoserver is supporting vector tiles with popups, it's your turn now!

@UndralBatsukh great news! Currently it looks like you can have a feature-linked vector tile, which is supposed to enable popups on vector tiles. But this still means you have to have a feature service published in the first place, which is a drain on resources.
