Do you guys think that being a GIS developer will be a promising job (I am always worried that ESRI will make things too easy that no complex programming is needed any more)? Compare with regular programmer, do we earn much less than them? I have 5 years coding experience and work in a large consulting company in a mid-size city, my company pays me around $74,000. Am I underpaid?
