Updated beta - ArcGIS Web API for Flex 2.0 Beta Update 3

New functionality (since last beta)

    * Two new properties, description and label, for ClassBreakInfo, SimpleRenderer, and UniqueValueInfo.
    * To generalize the output features, a new property, maxAllowableOffset, on FeatureLayer, FindParameters, IdentifyParameters, and RelationshipQuery.
    * Time support for Image Services and Identify.
    * New class: DrawingInfo that contains metadata information from the service about the renderer and alpha as setup on the server.
    * The drawing tool set up in ArcMap is now used in the API to set the default drawing tool to use when creating features based on this template.
    * Capabilities property on ArcGISDynamicMapServiceLayer, ArcGISTiledMapServiceLayer, LayerDetails, and TableDetails.
    * New property, noData, on ArcGISImageServiceLayer and ImageServiceParameters.
    * New properties, editable and length, on Field.

Changes (since last beta)

    * Bing Maps (formerly Microsoft Virtual Earth) now use a "key" property instead of "token", "client", and "server". No more need for the Virtual Earth Token page.
    * Bing Maps 'environment' property has been removed since Microsoft no longer will support a staging environment.
    * All events are now in the Events package. This affected AttributeInspectorEvent, FlareMouseEvent, InfoPlacementEvent, TemplatePickerEvent and VEGeocodeEvent.
    * Navigation has been sparkified and can now be skinned. As part of this four classes have been removed (NavigationEvent, NavigationMinusButton, NavigationPlusButton and NavigationSlider) and replaced with three skins (NavigationSkin, NavigationZoomInButtonSkin and NavigationZoomOutButtonSkin).
    * The "variableName" property (RasterFunction) has been removed.
    * The "defaultSymbol" property (FeatureLayerDetails) has been removed.
    * The "symbol" property (FeatureType) has been removed.
    * TextSymbol now use Flash Player 10 Text Engine which means that alpha and angle now also works for non-embedded (device) fonts.

Is there an updated version of the Sample Flex Viewer that is compatible with the ArcGIS Web API for Flex 2.0?

No. However, we are working on the "ArcGIS Viewer for Flex 2.0" which is built with our 2.0 API. We are planning a public beta later this month (June).

Thanks Bjorn,

I think that I must be overlooking something. Is the Sample Flex Viewer project contained in the file: arcgis_api_for_flex_2_0betaUpdate3.zip

That is the only file that I'm able to download for the ver 2.0 beta.

The new viewer is not yet available.

When it does become available, it will be a separate download. The viewer, renamed "ArcGIS Viewer for Flex 2.0" will also have its own Resource Center with documentation and examples.

How can I configure the Flex Sample Viewer 2 beta to use Bing maps? I'm still of ArcGIS Server 9.3.1 not 10.
