topic Google Street View - Revisited in ArcGIS API for Flex Questions

Last week I noticed the majority of my street view implementations were failing. This is code that has been in production for at least 6 months so I knew it wasn't my coding that was the issue. In 2009 Google announced that the street view api version 2 would be depricated with version 3 taking its place. Knowing this I re-coded my street view widget to use version 3 and it worked fine. It even works for the ArcGIS 2.4 api. You can download it here:

http://www.arcgis.com/home/item.html?id=f069d8a3aa304e29a432b48e5f64ca74

My issue now is that it is not as nice as the previous api. It's clunky and some browsers have trouble rendering it. This is no surprise since this is no longer a flash based api as it now uses HTML5. There are a lot of angry developers out there because version 3 just doesn't compare to version 2.

So knowing this, please don't hold it against my street view widget. It's out of my control, thanks Google. Enjoy the widget!
