Security Error

good morning/afternoon or evening to you this is our first post so please bear with me. We have just starting using flex as a method of delivering GIS but come across a problem. When we view the viewer on our internal network everything works fine but when we access the url from the outside world we get the following error.

"BaseMaps layer failed to load: Fault code: Channel.Security.Error
Fault info: Security error accessing url
Fault details: Destination: DefaultHTTP"

I expect this has something to do with the crossdomain.xml, but any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Craig,

you will need to have a crossdomain.xml file on your web server where your site is accessed from. If you are using IIS then you need the crossdomain.xml in your wwwroot folder, if apache then in your httpdocs folder. If you are using the WebApaptor then you need the crossdomain.xml on the server where you have the WebAdaptor installed.

thanks for that all working now and keep up the good work with your widgets used a few of them now, just cant keep up with all the version updates of flex.
