Is there a document that describes which tags to use with which widgets?

I am a Flex newbie, so I apologize if this question seems basic.

Is there a document (or whatever) that tells a user which tags are used with a widget?
For instance, if you didn't have layerlistwidget.xml file, how would I determine that the <excludelayer> tag can be used?

Can you get it from the .mxml file?
