topic Dynamic workspace and datum transformation in ArcGIS API for Flex Questions

Original User: vdkamp

When I add a shape file (in GCS_Amersfoort) in a dynamic workspace to the map (in GCS_WGS_1984), the coordinate system is automatically converted using the default Datum conversion 'None'. Which is in this case, in my opinion, the worst to do. Is there a way to have another transformation applied? Or change the default transformation used by the server?

I know that there is the work around to use the GeometryService Project, with a datumTransform property, which I could use to convert the geometries of the shape file before adding them to the map.

Thanks,
Albert.
