Good Day,

I was trying to setup a time slider showing the sales over the last decade. I have a shapefile that has a date that is in the proper format and i can get it to work correctly in Arcmap but then here is my problem. I loaded the Shapefile into SDE and I setup the permissions on the feature class and made it versioned. When i go to Arcmap now with the feature class that is in SDE using the same fields and settings as the shapefile the sde version will not work in the time slider anymore. It seems to process the dates on the features but nothing is returned to my screen. Is this there some extra step you need to do to get Time Aware layers to work in SDE?

Thanks.

Solution:

My problem was that my connection properties to SDE i did not have a Server name listed. Once i put the server name in the connection everything worked correctly.
