TOC checkboxes not updating properly when layer visibility is changed programatically

I am trying to get the check boxes in the Table of Contents to update properly whenever a layer visibility is changed. The check boxes do not get updated properly when the TOC is kept open while the layer visibility is changed via code (from another tool).

However, when I change the visibility of the layer first and then open the TOC - The checkboxes are updated correctly. Any idea on this? Is this a known bug?

Are you speaking of the TOC Widget (non-esri widget) http://www.arcgis.com/home/item.html?id=e2cb71d5c04d40d19e9f945ae0db7ce8

Or the OTB esri MapSwitcherWidget or LayerListWidget?

Hi Robert,

I am not using the Flex viewer. This is the TOC component in itself bundled as a package in my flex application. I have attached the package.

OK my mistake I will move this thread back to the Flex API forum then. You will need to get help from the code developer that provided this package then.

The TOC package is an ESRI developed tool - was taken from ESRI website. Would be great if some one could take a look at it!
