Hi,

I need to make some modifications to an Old Flex API site which was developed using ArcGIS Flex API Version 2.5.

But now i am trying to find the download for this API version but am not been able to locate it.

In neither http://www.esri.com/apps/products/download/

and in https://developers.arcgis.com/en/downloads/

Can you please provide the download for this API. Am i missing something?

According to this, the Flex API 2.x was retired June 1, 2014: http://downloads.esri.com/support/product%20life%20cycle/online_gis/ArcGISWebMappingAPIs_PLC.pdf

You would probably need to download Flex API 3.x. But keep in mind that Flex will be completely be retired as June 1, 2016.

If possible you may want to consider migrating your application to the Esri JavaScript API. or for template based apps, you could try the Web AppBuilder for ArcGIS which uses ArcGIS Online.

If you need to keep it Flex, this might be the way to go for you.

Thanks Chris for the detailed answer!

Yes that makes sense about it being retired. Its just that it is an Old app which i don't want to go through the upgrade process for this making this minor change. Also as you mentioned we probably will be upgrading it to JS in the near future so don't want to spend too much time on this.

I contacted ESRI and they said that we might be able to get older versions of APIs if we contact our account representative. I am going to do that to see if i can get it. If not i might just do the upgrade.

I have copies of all the old version of the flex api. Attached you will find the 2.5 API version.
