Thanks Bjorn,

Didn't think of that - I will try it when I get into the office today

Update: Worked like a charm. Note to self: the default service determines what scales are represented on the bar.
Thanks for your help Bjorn and D.E. Smith.

Cheers,

Problem with scale bar?

I have two computers running the same version of the Flex Viewer 2.1 and both using IIS 5.1.

One of the computers lists all the scales available using the default data sources provided, the other does not display the scales: 2, 256 and 1,128 (see attached).

I have tried re-downloading the template and placing it into the same directory. I've also attempted to replace the config with some of the other configs provided in the package.

The result is still the same.

Are there any suggestions?

One of the computers lists all the scales available using the default data sources provided, the other does not display the scales: 2, 256 and 1,128 (see attached).

The scales are based on the levels of details in the basemap. For example, Bing goes to 1:1,128 and so does Imagery from ArcGIS Online, and
World_Topo_Map but not World_Street_Map which only goes to 1:4,513.

My guess is that you have different configuration files (different initial basemaps) in the two apps...
