topic Licensing - Why do i need two licences to run extensions, when i use a license server. One for ArcMap and one for ArcGIS PRO? in Admin Tools Questions

I have one pc. On that i have ArcMap installed and borrowed an extension (DataInteroperability fx.) from our license server (ArcGIS Administrator). When i want to use the extension in ArcGIS PRO (installed on same pc with samt license manager), I must get one more license. Is that the right way to do it? Or is there another solution? I don't think it makes much sense that I am using double in licenses, which makes it harder for my collegues to get licenses. There must be a better way?

/Sanne

Hi Sanne,

This would be the right way to do that. Since ArcGIS Pro and ArcMap are two separate programs you would still need two separate licenses for those extensions, so you have been doing things the correct way.

I hope this was helpful!
