License Manager Options file sample

Does anyone have a license ARCGIS.opt sample they can share with me?

I need two things - a host_group and an exclude statement together...

basically, i've got a list of users User1, User2, User3 who need to be in a group and i would like to exclude them from ArcGIS Standard

i didnt know if it was as simple as this:

HOST_GROUP EditorExcludeGroup User1 User2 User3
EXCLUDE EDITOR HOST_GROUP EditorExcludeGroup
EXCLUDE ARC/INFO HOST_GROUP EditorExcludeGroup

how close am i? should there be any punctuation or special tabs or anything within the file?

Lucas,

If you have a list of users as you described, you want to use GROUP instead of HOST_GROUP. For example:

GROUP EditorExcludeGroup User1 User2 User3

EXCLUDE Editor GROUP EditorExcludeGroup

EXCLUDE ArcInfo GROUP EditorExcludeGroup

In the sample above, all users in the GROUP EditorExcludeGroup cannot use Editor (Standard) or ArcInfo (Advanced) license. All other users can.

You use GROUP to list user(s).

You use HOST_GROUP to list host machines or IP Addresses.

yes, i was trying to exclude host names (Computer names), instead of users. the log file thinks i've got some weird character at the end of my HOST_GROUP name, so it's picking up the options file, just not recognizing the name
