idea SQL Server on Azure in Data Pipelines Ideas

Please add SQL Server on Azure as a database choice to access data. We store well records with coordinates and would like to spatialize the data daily. The samples also have z values.

Second this. Would be very helpful. Our implemention is a data lakehouse so we still able to source the data from the underlying parquet but using the serverless SQL server within Azure Synapse would be much more robust and sustainable.

I have an AEC customer who would love to see this as well. They are pulling ERP data into an SQL database or warehouse to limit the sensitive information the GIS team can see. We would love to connect to that database and get the critical project and financial information to enable it to make more intelligent project performance recommendations spatially.

Re: SQL Server on Azure - Status changed to: Needs Clarification

There is currently various levels of support for connecting to SQL Server in an Azure environment - SQL Server on an Azure VM, Azure SQL Database, Azure Managed Instances. Is this specific to any of these flavors, or is this specific to Azure Synapse. Please change the title and description to be more specific.
