I recommend keeping all of the layers in ArcScene in the same projection. Since ArcScene is so memory intensive, there can be issues when a transformation needs to take place. Keeping the projection will prevent some of the potential display issues you are describing.

Hello,

I am using ArcScene with ArcGIS 10.

I have a raster image I have krigged. Whenever I load the layer into ArcScene, it loads fine. However, when I attempt to change the symbology, the resolution of the layer becomes low as if there is an error.

I have two other rasters in different projections. Could this be the cause?

Has anyone encountered anything like this?

Thanks for the help so far. I don't think the quality enhancement is the issue either.

I opened a second ArcScene window and loaded the layer and had no difficulty with it. I then copied it and pasted it into the first ArcScene project. This seemed to solve the problem. It is a strange workaround though.

I think there is an issue with the projection of the data frame.
