      <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;Hi, &lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;for a site analysis I need the the distance and elevation angle from an observer point to objects at the horizon. I tried to implement this with the skyline and skyline-diagram function based on a raster DEM. So far, so good. But then the problems begin: &lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;- "Skyline" doesn't use the elevation (Z-coordinate) of the observer point to draw the horizon line, but the elevation value of the raster. Is there a option to draw the skyline e.g. from a point two meters above the surface? &lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;- "Skyline" actually includes a option to integrate earth's curvature, but it isn't possible to activate this option in the mentioned case. How it can be activated? &lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;I would be glad if anyone have same ideas, because I spent a lot of time in esri-help and others without success... &lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;Thanks, &lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;rpres&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;Hi,&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;Converting your Observer points to 3D points using the&amp;nbsp; Feature to 3D by Attribute tool should solve your problems.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;Alternately you could try setting the points base heights from the surface and applying an offset to raise them above the surface.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Solution found! It turns out it really needs to be a mosaic created through mosaic dataset. Then the surface options are available in the Skyline tool.&lt;/P&gt;</description>
