topic Polygon Buffer floating when in 3D in 3D Questions

Hi I hope someone can help.

I have made a polygon in Pix4D around a feature on a DEM, and I want to retain the polygon shape but make it larger by fixed amounts.

I have exported it into ArcGIS (I have tried MAP and PRO) and ran the buffer tools to extend the polygon. However when I add the new buffer polygon back into Pix4D it is now floating above the original polygon and not attached to the DEM surface.

The original polygon when exported into ARCGIS and then re-imported back into Pix 4D retains it's position on the surface of the DEM. It is only the buffer layers that now have different Z values and appear floating. I have tried using the environments options to maintain the z values of the input layer when doing the buffers but this doesn't make a difference.

Does anyone know how I can solve this?

Thank you, James
