I saw that. When I calculate say 1.4 below the surface it creates a file, I do not like the format. The numbers use to have what they represented. Is this something I have turned off or not checked? When I do the next say 1.2 below it wants to over right the file. In 9.3 I just kept modifying the base elevation I wanted calculated and it added it to the document, or is this something I am doing wrong. New to 10.0 I need to get 10.1. Thanks for the help.

Bob

I need help with 10.0 I need to calculate volumes at specific elevations 14.0 to -0.5 within 15 Sq. Miles with 5 defined basins. 9.3 had a nice tab in the 3D analyst pull down that gave us a word document detailing the cut and fill. This is all I need, not a new representation of the surface. I am basing all the calculations on a Tin surface.

The Cut Fill tool is still available in 3D and Spatial Analyst extensions at 10.0 and 10.1 (See: 3D Analyst toolbox > Raster Surface; or Spatial Analyst toolbox > Surface). Please let me know if I miss understood your question.

Regards,
Pavan

Looks like, you were referring to the Area and Volume Statistics tool available in the 9.x toolbar. The 3D Analyst toolbar commands were incompatible in geoprocessing workflows and were made obsolete with the introduction of the geoprocessing framework. The Area and Volume Statistics tool is still available in 10.0 and 10.1 that you could add in the toolbar using the Customize dialog box, see image below.

Or, you can use the Surface Volume tool from the Geoprocessing framework (3D Analyst toolbox > Functional Surface > Surface Volume).

Regards
Pavan
