Create TIN from contour

Hi,

I would like to create TIN from contour shapefile in Arc10. I know that this can be done from a tool in 3D analyst toolbar in Arc9, but I couldn't find the tool in Arc10. I would very much appreciate if you could let me know where the tool is located or how this could be done in Arc10.

Please go to ArcToolbox > 3D Analyst Tools > TIN Management Toolset > Create TIN tool. If you need to update the TIN later, there is the Edit TIN tool in the same toolset.

I am having problems creating a TIN, I can find the Create TIN tool but it fails every time. I am trying to create a TIN from a topo.dxf file.

Are you inputting the drawing file or the data? It might be easier (but unneccessary) to just convert your dxf file to a feature class and then load the feature class into the TIN. I've created many TINs from AutoCAD data without conversion though. Some screenshots of your DXF file displaying in ArcMap would be helpful.
