topic ArcScene extent vanishes in 3D Questions

I am doing the Esri 3D Visulazation Techniques web course, and just finished symblizing the watch towers. After using the fly tool to get a closer look, my scene vanished. When I hit 'view full extent' the scene flashes and disapears again. I get the same results when I zoom to a layer. I trying adding the vegitation layer to see if the problem would self correct but no luck. I have not saved my work, and I am not sure how to fix this problem. Can anyone please offer some suggestions on how to fix it, and insight into what went wrong?

Thank you,

Faith
