Is the problem with opening up that particular model or just a blank scene document? What exactly are you doing to cause ArcScene to crash?

Use the following link to check your system requirements for ArcGIS:
http://cyri.systemrequirementslab.com/cyri_if/1186/10913

You might also try increasing your virtual memory.

Hi,

I am making a 3D model of a part of a city , but now, arcScene can barely open, and I can't do anything without crashing when it opens. I have updated the video driver as i've seen on another forum, but nothing changed.

I am on ArcGis Desktop 10. (education trial version)

If anyone has an idea...

Yes, I pass every check (on recommended).

I also tried increasing my memory with readyboost.

I can open arcscene new documents and start working with it. But its really not fluid (quite rough when trying to turn around the model or to move it, or zoom) and it gives the impression that it's going to crash the next minute. I just don't want to lose again my document.

Also i don't know if it's important but i noticied something strange. ArcScene documents are .sdx, so they are recognized as OpenOffice drawings on my computer. I need ArcGis file handler to open it with ArcScene.
