Hi,

Anyone knows how to create a buffer on a 3D multipatch ?

As far as I understand, the 3D buffer (3D Analyst) only works on points and lines.

I have tried in CityEngine using the scope function. It works well on very simple model.

But it is not very convincing for more complex models.

I have tried with multiple extrusions, but without success.

Any suggestion based on 3D Analyst, CityEngine, DataInteroperability, python or anything else would be greate.

Thanks for your help.

Thib@ult

I got something a little better, again with CityEngine. But the rule is still not clever enough.

I guess I am having trouble joining 2 faces extrusion. Something similar to what the StreetNetwork dynamic shape does, when creating multiple triangles around an axis to simulate a curve.

Having the same question about creating 3D buffer around a multipatch (a pipe) in ArcGIS Pro but haven't found a solution yet
