Hello!
I have to pour water in a river and see how much water it will increase. Taking in cosideration the actual amout of water the river has. I got a hint to use the surface volume of 3D analyst. But I am new in this and feel lost. Can't see where to start. I have a DEM of the county and the countor lines every 5 mts.

Is this the tool I must use? They don't have any more data of the area. Just the DEM and the contour lines. Can somebody give me a hint of what will be the accurate procedure and if actually the solution is to use this tool? I will really appreciate.

Thank you very much,

Monica Ruano
