    <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;This has been solved -&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt; the tool does not work when background geoprocessing is turned on&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;. &lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;I can confirm that in version 10.2.1 this tool does not work when background geoprocessing is turned on and it does work when it is turned off. &lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;Some users on GIS SE hinted that this bug has been addressed in 10.2.2 but I've seen at least one post indicating otherwise.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; &lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;It's becoming a good practice to NEVER turn on background geoprocessing.&amp;nbsp; Something is clearly broken there.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>

      <title>Layer 3D to Feature Class</title>

      <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;Hi all,&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;I'm attempting to do some analyses similar to that in the attached link.&amp;nbsp; &lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;A href="http://help.arcgis.com/en/arcgisdesktop/10.0/help/index.html#/Assessing_a_steam_pipe_explosion_in_an_urban_environment/00q8000000qm000000/"&gt;http://help.arcgis.com/en/arcgisdesktop/10.0/help/index.html#/Assessing_a_steam_pipe_explosion_in_an_urban_environment/00q8000000qm000000/&lt;/A&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;Specifically, I'm interested in determining what areas in building are within a certain distance of AEDs.&amp;nbsp; My issue arises when I try to use the Layer 3D to Feature Class geoprocessing tool on my point data that is displayed as a sphere.&amp;nbsp; When I do this, the multipatch is created, but is not displayed as a sphere.&amp;nbsp; Cannot seem to find a solution anywhere on the web so I came here.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;Any help would be greatly appreciated.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;Ben&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;I just tested this at 10.2 and 10.2.1 and it works for me.&amp;nbsp; I extruded a polygon layer by 100 and then ran the Layer 3D to Feature Class tool.&amp;nbsp; Here are my results:&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;[ATTACH=CONFIG]33837[/ATTACH]&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;Can you provide a sample of the data you are using?&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>
