topic Problem entering negative Z values in Edit Sketch Properties in 3D Questions

I have a 3D Polyline Feature Class. I want to add a Z value to each vertex along the line. Since these polylines are pipelines, they are underground, I need to enter in negative Z values at each vertex which represent depth. But, when I enter in negative Z values I get a message that the Coordinates are Out of Bounds. I have the vertical datum set (NAVD88). However, when I enter in positive Z values it works good.

I increased the Z Domain from the default -10000 to -20. I still get the same Coordinates Out of Bounds Error when entering a negative Z value. According the Z Domain, it says I can enter any value between -20 and the Max of 2564433333 for example. The negative Z values I am entering for each vertex under Edit Sketch Properties range from -9 to -3. These should be inside the bounds. Not sure why this message keeps popping up.

Any ideas?

I fixed the out of bounds issue that prevented me from changing the Z value to negative. My MXD was somehow corrupted. I opened a blank MXD and added in my pipesZ feature class, changed the Z values to negative numbers under Edit Sketch Properties. It works.
