Hi,

I have a 3D feature class (with Z value defined). I need to convert this to multi patch type before assigning texture. I used the "3D Layer to Feature Class". However, the result is very different from the original data. I attached the screen capture for before and after conversion.

The tool help does not prompt for restriction of the input data. Could you prompt what do I need to do convert the data correctly please?

thanks

Helen

Original User: hdunn

I found out the reason that caused the error. The circle was of arc type, it appears that the "3D layer to feature class" tool does not recognise the arc, thus the error. The middle part are polygons with instant height jump, or not continuous surface.

I resolved the issue using FME. FYI.
