topic Extracting M coordinates from 3D line in 3D Questions

I've digitized 3D line using Interpolate Line button in 3D Analyst 10.1 for extracting elevation profiles. The line geometry properties include storing M coordinates which display as distance on the bottom x axis in the graph. How can I extract these M values and replace the default NaN value for each vertex in the line? Linear referencing toolset? This seems like it should be easy.... Also, is there an easy "hover-over" method of viewing these M coordinate values? Currently the best way I've found to view them is through the Edit Sketch Properties window.

Thanks for any info!
Nathan
