Wandering if Windows tablets are used often for data collection with Survey123 form.
I would love to use my Microsoft Surface Go with Collector in the field, but the last time I used Collector on Windows 10, it behaved a bit wonky. As for Android, Android tablets are cheap and disposable, given that field tablets are likely to get beat-up a bit. In my opinion, iOS devices are unnecessarily expensive for field data collection.
Agree with all of this. Androids are cheap, easy to get files on/off, lots of other apps, easier to manage, etc. The new Active 2 comes rugged for $400. Been very stable and last 3-4 years.
iOS has been significantly faster during testing but seems more susceptible to memory crashes. iOS also seems to get Esri updates way faster (esp Collector). Users say GPS is not as good or reliable. But too much $ and too fragile in the end though.
