What is your most favorite programming (or scripting) language?
That's great Chris - glad that you like all 4. Wish there was an option to change those to checkboxes.
I agree that you should be able to select all that you like and/or all of the above.
Currently it is Python. I have only just started programming with it, but have reduced my Map production time from 1 week to several hours.
Glad to hear Thomas that Python works for you!
Just curious, which version (2,x or 3.x) works better for Map production time?
I am using 2.7.9. I have not tested 3.x.
Wonder if it could be tested on 3.x, but based on this GIS Wiki, ArcGIS 9.2 supports Python 2.5.1, so ArcGIS 10 must support what you are using (and noted that on Python.org's site of either using versions 2 or 3, version 2 is the most supported).
ArcGIS 10.x is Python 2.7. Arcgis Pro is Python 3.x
That's good to know; thanks for the tip Blake Terhune.
Good suggestion Mike!

I love 'em all. Actually, functional languages like LISP, Scheme, and the new lambda-based coding in Java 8 are awesome as well. I think that parallel programming is finally coming into its own, and the functional languages provide a side-effect-free option (immutable state) that makes parallelism much easier to implement.
Excellent point Marsha!
I wish I could add these languages in the poll, but it has a limit on choices.
