I want to host my own symbols for ArcGIS online maps. Has anyone gotten this to work? I haven't been able to link images I hosted online to be used as symbology in a web map on ArcGIS Online. Ex: I hosted this image (https://ibb.co/KrvNPcp) and when attempting to add it to ArcGIS Online layer symbology, I get a grey notification "Unable to load image." it also does not work with OneDrive (https://cdmsmithonline-my.sharepoint.com/:i:/g/personal/zieglerhm_cdmsmith_com/EXoW50sjvnVAvaIQ-2_XpykB1WAheLV-B4Ro5mW29D_7aQ?e=ZytJBj) Thanks!

Ah, the above problem was resolved by the tried and true ArcHydro Troubleshoot method of make sure you are working from the local C: drive and not a network drive and if not, move your project there, close & delete current .mxd, clear %temp% folder, create new blank .mxd to replace deleted, re-set targets, make sure geoprocessing extent is max of all features in dataframe, make sure your dataframe has the correct projected coordinate system set, and turn off background geoprocessing - then try again.

Hi, I'm having issues running the Longest Flow Path tool in ArcHydro. Attempting to run the Longest Flow Path tool results in the following warning error message: "Longest flow path could not be generated for input drainage area OID=1. ERROR 010088: Invalid input geodataset (Layer, Tin, etc.)." This message repeats for each drainage area Any idea what's causing this? I am using sink watersheds as my drainage area and and fdrstradj (stream flow direction adjusted flow direction raster) for input. Thank you, any help or suggestions are appreciated!

Not a solution to the problem, but your comment about the 'usual suspects' helped me resolve my own issues with running the Adjoint Catchment Processing tool, so I just wanted to say thank you!

Hi, I'm attempting to visualize a LiDAR point cloud which I have placed into an .lasd file (las dataset), but viewing it in ArcGIS Pro displays only the extent of the point cloud, not the point cloud itself. Is there anything I am missing? Update: My mistake, I neglected to make sure the .las files have imported correctly and/or paths were still active. I don't have time to look into it, but I assume that by moving the .lasd around some, the imported .las file paths got mismatched. Problem solved! Thank you!

Hi Asrujit, I have read through that documentation, but could not link the error to any of the items listed there. At this point, I'm still not sure what is causing the error. I have noticed that if I delete the error feature(s) in the PARENT version, reconciling will work once all features have been deleted. However, since only one OID is provided per error message, I have to reconcile CHILD, switch to PARENT, delete feature in PARENT, switch back to CHILD, and try again (start same procedure if another error). This is very frustrating.. so I'm still looking into what is causing the error in the first place. My working theory is that somehow (due to geometric network topology rules) a zero length geometry is created during reconcile and the error is thrown. I don't have enough information to confirm this though. Thank you!

Hi, I have a versioned SDE of a stormwater network broken down into multiple versions by a grid. When attempting to reconcile from one of the child versions to the parent version, I keep receiving the following error: I have checked the feature that is being called out for zero geometry but did not find it to have zero geometry. The only thing that has worked has been to delete the affected items entirely from both parent and child and then reconcile, but this causes a host of new issues for managing the created gaps. Has anyone dealt with this error before, and were you able to resolve it? Thank you!

Thank you, this worked! It's really disappointing that arcpy.mapping doesn't let you edit layer properties directly in script though 😕

Hi, I am working with a simple script that imports geo-referenced rasters corresponding to selected polygons in a featureclass layer. The rasters import just fine, but the issue is that they import as single band streched rasters and I have to go into the layer symbology tab under properties and then change the imported rasters to RGB composite individually. Does anyone have any idea how I could skip that manual step and code for this to happen automatically? The relevant code snippet looks like this: #Fetch selected rasters and add to current map document, first data frame mxd = arcpy.mapping.MapDocument("CURRENT") df = arcpy.mapping.ListDataFrames(mxd, "*")[0] arcpy.AddMessage(len(docs))#DEBUG# for i, page in enumerate(docs): arcpy.AddMessage(i) newlayer = arcpy.mapping.Layer(page) arcpy.mapping.AddLayer(df,newlayer, "TOP") Thank you!

I am having some issues with Adjoint Catchment Processing (step 4.14) following the Arc Hydro Stormwater guide V2 found here. I've checked and confirmed that no sink point features are located on top of stream grid cells after step 4.5. After noticing that the drainage line GridID did not match the ouput link raster GridID, I manually adjusted them to match. I also noticed that DrainID was null within the Drainage Lines featureclass, so I did a spatial join to join the HydroID from the basins - this did nothing as they are automatically reset to null values each time the Adjoint Catchment Processing tool is run. On step 4.15, the Adjoint Catchment Processing tool runs without error but gets stuck in an endless loop outputting the message without end: "Level 1: Processing 9 drainage line(s) with no associated catchment..." I had let it run for 30 minutes before stopping as the messages had not changed and been repeated over 500 times. Thank you for reading, any help or pointers are greatly appreciated!

Hmm, I guess I've gotten hung up on that part. I do need the shape field to create a featureclass again once I'm done processing. I can simply keep the SHAPE@XY data separate and then use it later on to bring the data back as a featureclass, it's not necessary in the data frame. Thank you!

Hi all, I'm attempting to load a featureclass into a numpy array and then a pandas data frame. Creating the numpy array has been straight-forward. However, I keep getting an error when I attempt to then create a data frame from the array: #Import libraries import arcpy, numpy, scipy, sklearn, pandas, seaborn, matplotlib, arcgisscripting, Hi Joshua, so I take from this that as I guessed, only functions (or methods) are callable, where any function or method followed by () means it is being called. Usually you call a function with input parameters, but some functions don't require parameters. Variables (or properties) are not callable.
