Anthony, Thank you very much for your reply. We are using 10.1 Server. I am using the "Unique Value Renderer", will try to use the layer's own renderer. Julie Julie If you are using a 10.1 server the render will be provided by the service itself so for the example below it is using this layer that has its own renderer: http://sampleserver1.arcgisonline.com/ArcGIS/rest/services/Louisville/LOJIC_PublicSafety_Louisville/MapServer/3 If you want to over ride this with your own renderer or you are using a 9.3.1 server you need to specify your own symbology: http://resources.arcgis.com/en/help/flex-viewer/concepts/index.html#/Query_widget_tags/01m30000000t000000/ Regards Anthony

Julie: So, I figured out that your line: net use Y: \\adminfs\gis Is mapping the Y: drive to \\adminfs\gis As best I can figure out, the first line: net use Y: /d /Y is actually shorthand for: net use Y: /delete /YES which removes the existing connection to the Y: drive (/delete) then instructs DOS to remember any subsequent mapping you make. Is this correct? Thanks again, Dale Dale, You are 100% correct. net use Y: /d /Y is remove the existing connection. Thanks making the documents clear and organized. Julie

The only thing I can think of is that the task is running under a different user that doesn't have access to your Y: drive. Check the properties of your scheduled task. In Windows 7, the task scheduler has a "When running a task, use the following user account" option. Is it the same account that you are logged into when you run from DOS? dmhoneycutt, Thank you very much. The problem solved. I used the same user to run the DOS command and Schedule Task. But the Y drive is remote map network drive. I think when the user log in, the drive is connected and mapped. But the Schedule Task didn't have the drive exist. Added the command before run the Python. It works. net use Y: /d /Y
net use Y: \\adminfs\gis
IF EXIST "Y:\Data\Current\ROADBUFFERLL.shp" echo "Y:\Data\Current\ROADBUFFERLL.shp exist" >>C:\arcgis\scripts\log\speedreturn.log
C:\Python27\ArcGIS10.1\python.exe C:\arcgis\Tools\SpeedReturn.py Thanks again. Julie

Julie, I was using the 2.5 Flex Viewer and everything I added was to the uncompiled version of Robert's widget. I have not even looked at the 3.1 version, but that is mainly because I am moving away from Flex and doing Javascript now. The changes from 2.5 to 3.1 are quite substantial, and with my time no longer devoted to Flex I have no idea when I will get around to configuring the widget to the 3.x version. Chris B. Thanks Chris for your answer.

QUOTE=cblinnmrc;207871]All, I got the eSearch widget to work with a date range. It actually was pretty simple. I added the date selector controls and a conditional statement which checks to see if the date range is selected, and then concatenates to the eVal variable before the expression (expr) is queried. Thank you all for your help! The next step is to get the result graphics to use a unique value renderer so the different crime types use a unique picture marker. Thanks again, Chris B. Hi Christopher, Finally, I got the eSearch widget to work with combined fields. But the date field doesn't work. I am using SQL Server database, the call date type is DATE. How do you put the Calender button on the eSearch? Thanks, Julie

Hi Christopher, I have almost same request as yours : select a date range, search the Crime Layers. I never worked in GIS area. Could you please give me detail information how did you make the eSearch work on the Date range and crime layer search? We have the ArcGIS Viewer for Flex Application Builder Version3.1. Download the Enhanced Search Widget Version 3.1.12. Do you use the Compiled eSearch or unCompiled eSearch? Thanks, Julie

Julie, I think you will have problems until you get rid of the OID error as the layer is not searchable without an OID. See this post that is referring to the same issue (but for Oracle table) to see if it get's you on the right track. http://forums.arcgis.com/threads/80419-eSearch-on-XYevent-return-only-1-result.?p=284530#post284530 Basically, I have an autogenerated, unique, non-null numeric field being added to my table. This way, Arc can use it as an OID so that it will behave as a normal layer (except for the real time updates of course). R_ Hi rzufelt, Thank you very much for helping me. I added the Object_ID. THe Search Issue solved. Thanks again. Julie.

Rzufelt Clicked the Validate All button, the question mark(s) changed to a green checkmark. I am using the SQL Server table. Yes, I got " table not having an Object-ID field" message. Thank you very much. Julie

Hi, Rzufelt, Database is registered, but there is a "? question mark' at the status column. I analyzed the service, warning: 10043: Layer's data source is an XY Event Table. I think it doesn't cause the Search widget issue. Best regard. Julie

I am unable to reproduce your issue. I am using FV 3.1 for now and have tested this using the built in SearchWidget and the eSearchWidget 3.1.13. Both are searching my event themes repeatedly and working fine I even tried publishing on version 10 as well as 10.1 and, everything is working fine. (You need to register your datasource in 10.1 to publish an event theme to a service). R_ Have tested using both an Oracle table and a FGDB table, both work for me. Hi Rhett, Thanks for your help. I am using FV 3.1 too. I am newbie at ARCGIS, could you please let me know how to register datasource in 10.1 to publish an event theme to a service? Thanks, Julie

Have a map layer based on XY Events from a table. Add a Search Widget on the layer. The first search works when the map web opened, by spatial or by attribute both work. If I clear last search, do second Search, it has the error: [RPC Fault faultString="Invalid or missing imput parameters." faultCode="400" faultDetail=""] Added Search Widget on other layers, like town boundary, street etc, All work fine. What can cause the problem? Thanks.

I have a Date column (without time), at Eastern Time Zone. The pop up converted the Date automatically. For example, our date is May 07, 2013, the pop up will show as "May 06, 2013 08:00PM". I don't want the system convert the date to UTC. Which Field or Tag can I use? Thanks.

I have configured a Query widget on map service, filter by "category". It can do a query, get result in the query widget. But it cannot render the result set on a graphics layer I check the sample, it renders the filter result on the map. http://resources.arcgis.com/en/help/flex-viewer/live/index.html?config=apps/config-query.xml My Query Widget xml file. What i missed to render the result on map?
