I have a map template where the data frame is in the Irish Grid(IG) Coordinate system.(Blue lines) .I have a grid created aswell showing ITM coordinates(Black). I want to show the centre coordinates of the map in the legend. currently I have them displayed as Irish grid (IG) but I want them to display as ITM.  is it possible for the centre coordinates to read from the grid(black, ITM) rather than the actual dataframe(blue,IG) ... I have created a grid with dynamic coordinates. the grid and map area is fixed at 1:50000. however when I zoom in and out the corner co-ordinates keep appearing/disappearing. can anyone tell me why this is happening? Thanks. ... View more

I am trying to displace my rail way off my roads but the rail is not moving. I am using the resolve road conflict tool and have very basic model. The only parameter is the hierarchy value. water hierarchy is 0 (I don't want this to move) road hierarchy is 4 rail hierarchy is 13. Pic 1 shows the original data before displacement pic 1 roads are not allowed on water and this had displaced correctly see pic 2 pic2 However the rail is now sitting ontop of the road but hasn't moved. based on the hierarchy values I would expect the road to move off the water (as it does) and then the rail to move off the road. is it that the rail has nowhere to move to?? thanks. ... I am using the building conflict tool within model builder to displace my buildings. my linear feature are rail network, road line, and water lines. In the most part the buildings are displacing as I would expect. but there is a few unusual examples. my scale is set at 1:12000.  I have put in 0.1 for both building gap and minimum allowable size as I didn't want any buildings to disappear. Red building is before displacement. yellow is after. can anyone explain why these buildings are becoming so misshapen? ... View more

When putting a halo around labels, in order for dark text to stand out against a dark background, is there anyway of making the halo transparent? my labels are building name text and I don't want to completely block out the building underneath. ... View more

I am trying to create a rail style, however when the style is applied it looks nothing like the style I have created. The style I want is just a line with dashes along it. when applied the dashes are unevenly spaced and are uneven sizes and shapes.  nothing is consistant. no matter what parameters I put in the quality is still very poor. is this a resolution issue? can arc map not handle such fine detail of styling? thanks. ...
