Make tasks, similar to what is currently available in ArcGIS Pro, available as a widget in a web mapping application. That would be really helpful when a web app is set up for a user to complete some basic tasks.

Thank you for the information. Looks like we will have to make some tweaks on our end then.

We live in the Mountain Time Zone and have noticed that the UTC offset is included in our date fields when we export the survey results to a .csv file. Up until recently this has been 6:00 or 7:00 depending on whether we are submitting a survey while in summer or winter time, which makes sense to us. When we upgraded our Survey123 app from V3.5.164 (which appears to process the UTC offset correctly) to V3.5.177 the UTC offset is now listed at 18:00 for any surveys submitted using the V3.5.177 version, which makes no sense to us – it appears to be 12 hours off. There does also seem to be a different in the UTC behavior when the date field is set to a default of today() - which results in a rounded UTC that appears to be 12 hours different than what we expect, vs. a date field with no default where the UTC seems more random to me. I have attached a word document that shows the questions as well as sample .csv downloads that illustrate the differences that we are seeing. Having the correct offset is very important to us, because the data is fed into a custom script that uses this UTC offset to reconcile the time collected in another question in the survey with a time field in an different application where the script is feeding the data into. Are we doing something wrong, or is this a bug? It appears that the behavior of the survey app changed when the new version was released. We tested it side by side yesterday: some folks here are still running V3.5.164 and their data seems to go in correctly and those that upgraded appear to have the UTC issue. If it is a bug, is it fixable? If not, what can we do to get it back to an offset of 6:00 or 7:00 (depending on summer/winter time). Thank you and have a great day! Wilma Robertson

I did some more testing. When I make thumbnails I like to use PowerPoint to create the logo. I then export the slide to a .jpg or .png and try using that as my thumbnail. This fails. However, when I load the image I created via PowerPoint into the Paint application and then save it from there it seems to work. Makes me wonder if there is something about the way PowerPoint exports to a .jpg or .png file that makes it not work in Survey123. At least there seems to be a workaround.

James, Thank you for looking into my thumbnail issue! I have made a little video that shows that happens. Besides the video I have also attached the two images I am trying to use. I know the Slide2 is rather large (1.64MB), but the TwinFallsV3.JPG behaves the same way and also fails. I have not had this issue before…. Wilma

No, not really anything unusual. "TwinFalls.jpg" and "TwinFalls.png". Neither worked.

The last two days I am having a lot of trouble getting the Thumbnail to "stick" with a survey using Survey 123 Connect. I set the thumbnail, and then as soon as I get out of the survey it is gone again. I have not had this problem prior to this week. I tried both using a .png and a .jpg. Any suggestions? Thanks!

I am building a survey to record flow measurements for surface water. A user will read a staff gauge in a stream. This reading will then be entered into an equation specific to that stream to convert the reading into a flow expressed in cubic feet per second. I was hoping I could set this up as follows (but it doesn't work, but hopefully illustrates what I am trying to do): The specific formula in the calculation field is thus pulled from a csv table called "RatingTableInfo" which looks as follows: The results, when set up as shown above looks like this: In other words, it just shows the first two numbers of the equation, rather than the result of the equation. Is there a way to set this up so it actually does the math? Any suggestion is appreciated. My alternative thought is to build extensive lookup tables where for each equation I provide all the possible results of the equation, rather than the equation itself and then use the pulldata function against those tables. However, there are dozens of equations and that seems quite a bit more cumbersome. Thank you!!!

I used ArcGIS Online to create a web mapping application and shared the URL with various iPhone users in my organization. The link works well on nearly all iPad and iPhones, except for one where - instead of showing the mapping app - it defaults to the "My Content" page on ArcGIS online. The person logged into this iPhone is, like all the people logged into this app using their iPhones, not the author of the map but rather a member of the group that the app is shared with. Has anyone experienced this? Is there a setting on the iPhone that may prevent it from just displaying the mapping application?

Recently we are having trouble looking at the pdf reports generated when you click on a record on the data tab on the survey 123 website. All maps in this pdf report seem to be zoomed far out and encompasses more than the United States. In the past when we ran into this issue I was able to fix it by increasing the zoom level for the preview and detailed map settings in Survey 123 Connect, but that does not seem to work. How do I get the map to show up zoomed in (without having to do it manually by clicking the zoom in button). Thank you!

We noticed the same problem and I have submitted it to ESRI support - it is happening to reports that worked in the past without any issues. In addition to the error described above we also get the "missing required params" error. The last error is funny in that it seems to work, and then not work, and then work again. To make sure it wasn't something in my template generating the error, I also tried it with the default template suggested by ESRI - that was gave the same errors. I will be following this thread with interest.
