Hi, We are using Panasonic Toughpads, FZ-G1 with internal Sierra Wireless GPS sensors on Windows 10. We have had intermittent problems with Survey123 not picking up the GPS signal over the last year or so, and recently, it does not seem to be working at all (when offline, so not on Wifi or mobile). The Survey 123 version we have been using lately is 3.7.57 and we have also tried more recent versions. The GPS does work in Collector with no problems. I don't understand whether it is supposed to be using the 'Integrated provider' or whether it sees it as an external provider (e.g. COM port) - neither of those options work anyway. i have tried using GPS Direct with no success, but am not entirely sure what I need to install or what the settings need to be. Any help or advice gratefully received, Claire

Hi Phil, Can I email you the XLSX? It's too big to attach. The problem occurs on page 3 (a Plot Type must be selected (choose either X or P) on page 1 and Plot Recorded must be 'Found' on page 1). The issue occurs where the plot type is set to 'P' or 'X' - the 'Total Cover' does not appear until at least 1 record has been entered into all of the repeats. (I've worked around the issue of the total not appearing because of hidden repeats by creating a separate total where plots are not 'P' or 'X' - these were types which had hidden repeats). Hi, I have an issue with the repeat aggregate function in relation to repeats. My survey uses repeats, and sums the total within each repeat using the aggregate function e.g. sum(${repeat_value}). Each of these totals is then summed in a single calculation e.g. sum(${repeat_value1})+sum(${repeat_value2})+sum(${repeat_value3}). However, in Connect version 3.7.62 and Survey123 v. 3.7.57, a record is no longer automatically created within a repeat, hence the formula above no longer works, unless a blank record is created in the repeats. This is OK in some instances (we just need to make sure users add a record in the repeat), but in some scenarios, the repeat is hidden because it is not relevant. So, is there a way of automatically creating a record in a repeat? Or is there a work around to get the formula above to work in order to sum all values in a set of repeats? Thanks! Hi James Tedrick I have recently updated to Connect version 3.7.62 and am getting this same problem again and the changes I made in the previous post are no longer working. So to summarize, my survey uses repeats, and sums the total within each repeat using the aggregate function e.g. sum(${repeat_value}). Hi, I am also experiencing this using a Panasonic Toughbook FZ-G1 running Windows 10. I have just upgraded the tablet from version 3.3.64 of Survey 123 to 3.5.177. The stylus works in other apps and normally with windows, but Survey123 only allows interaction with finger and not stylus. Claire

Thank you James - I haven't managed to get the export to csv script to run yet, however, I have now edited the sql lite file to enable me to submit the data. On further investigation, I found I needed to change the name of the survey in the Name column, but then also found an instance of Name in the Data column which also need updating. Still not sure why the problem occurred exactly but have created a log as suggested - can I send you this offline to take a quick look at? Many thanks, Claire

Hi, I have a problem where my survey won't submit answers and is stuck on 'Getting Service Information'. I think the problem has arisen because the survey was updated, possibly making the surveyors version incompatible with the new schema (it also contains numbered repeats). So far, I have tried following advice on https://doc.arcgis.com/en/survey123/desktop/get-answers/troubleshootgetanswers.htm I have created a copy of the Survey, then I have manually modified the SQLlite database using DB Browser to point to the URL of the new version of the survey. I then open Survey123, however whilst it shows the records in the outbox of the new survey, there is no data in any of the records. Attempts at exporting the SQLlite file have also failed. Hi, Just to report that we are experiencing intermittent camera issues in Survey123. Launching the camera (or barcode scanner) seems to work fine for a while, but then occasionally, although the camera launches, users are presented with a black screen in the camera view. Saving the survey record, exiting Survey123 and relaunching seems to rectify the problem, but something is obviously not quite right. We have just noticed this happening since 3.3.64 was launched in February. I have not been able to isolate exactly what is triggering the behaviour, it seems to be random. We are using Windows 10 on Panasonic Toughpad FZ-G1s, Survey 123 field app version 3.3.64. Claire

Hi John, I have just tested the new Beta versions, publishing with Connect 3.1.127 (Windows) and using Survey123 v3.1.160 (Windows). Whereas before, the first entry of a repeat was missing when opening from drafts or outbox, in the new Beta, ALL data in each repeat disappears - this is much worse. Also, I had created a workaround for this issue by removing relevant clauses form each question in the repeat, and only having the relevant on the repeat itself, which seemed to work. Now this no longer works in the new beta - all data is lost. Additionally, fields calculated from the repeats no longer work either. Claire

Hi, Just to raise that we are also experiencing this issue when using the camera through Survey123, the image taken is reduced to 2 mp quality but when submitting an image that was previously taken using the Windows 10 Camera App, it is uploaded without loss of resolution. We are using rugged field laptops with 8 mp camera with Windows 10, and are still getting the issue with the November 2018 St Kilda Penguin release. Any update? Thanks, Claire
