I have the home edition of arcmap. I have activated licences on desktop and my online account. I have navigated to ready to use services>logistics> world> generate service area. I am having issues loading facilities. All of the info I can find has to do with using the regular network analyst toolbar in desktop. The points I created were shapefiles which i converted to feature class and placed into a feature data set and they do not have any location attributes just objectID, shape , and ID. Do I need to add xy data? create network data set? address locator ? I have tried most of these but unsure if I am doing it in the correct order or if it is needed at all. It was my understaning that the ready to use services would be using the arc gis online base maps as the network.. Thanks for any help

If you change the name of the "localgovernment.GDB" from naperville and use the repair data source for one feature in your "localgovernment gdb" it will do it for all of them.

Would like to compare approach for fire run book. I am creating an index grid for a very large rural county with some populated areas. The grid size is either too large to see details of the towns or too small and creates 4000 plus pages of the forest. I have chosen to use cartographic partitions. The only way I have found to number the pages is manually and when I calculate adjacent fields there are two pages to the east/west. If any other counties that have had similar issues would please respond with their particular approach . and or a way to automatically number cartographic partitions and calculate multiple pages in one direction that would be much appreciated. Thanks

Hello ! I am having issues implementing the new local government geo database with the fire run template from Naperville Illinois. I created the new local government geo database using the x-ray add in and added local data . I called it" Localgovernment " as the workflow suggests. I am having issues with importing the new "localgov.gdb" into the template. I changed the name of the "localgov.gdb" from naperville illionios so that I would get all red exclamation points. I have changed the coordinate system to the correct area as well. I have changed the data source for some of the features and arc gis accepts them as correct and gets rid of the red exclamation marks , however it will not display on the map even though I can read the attribute table and not receiving any errors. !?!? IF there is a better way swap out the new "localgovernment "source data for the template data that would be fantastic ! are there any tools or extensions ? I've watched all the tutorial videos and see no information pertaining to this. Thanks in advance for any help .

I keep getting this error when trying to run the create street index report tool from the local government tool box. Executing: CreateStreetIndexReport RoadCAD1 FNAME firemapindex PageNumber LANDSCAPE C:\Users\gisintern.COOK\Documents\ArcGIS\schroederSIR.pdf # # Start Time: Tue Jun 17 16:29:44 2014 Running script CreateStreetIndexReport... Failed at Tue Jun 17 16:29:45 2014 (Elapsed Time: 0.64 seconds) I"m unclear about what a traceback is ? and how to create a Report.lib.styles... Do I have to prepare my roads layer by dissolving intersections? I've tried just about everything I can think of with no luck. Any help would be much appreciated
