Where do you work and what is your role? Long time community lurker, first time poster. I'm Brian, the Community & Economic Development Director at Bear River Association of Governments, a regional planning organization in northern Utah, USA. We provide regional planning and technical assistance for 42 rural jurisdictions including small cities of 50,000 people and small towns of less than 500. I'm spending more and more time as a mid-level manager as opposed to a technical user, but I manage a couple of crack ArcGIS users that do great work for me. I'm working on a few new analysis projects in ArcGIS Pro to shake the rust off and keep growing my skillset. What GIS success have you had this year and what product did you use? My team is migrating to ArcGIS Pro and if we can manage that without breaking something, we'll call it a success. I'm also learning Python to contribute to script sets and batching. What is your expertise (GIS related or not), and how can that help the community? I have 15 years of experience in land use planning and public policy, mostly in the State of Utah, but with some exposure to other Rocky Mountain states and communities. I believe that the best decisions are made with the best information and strive to make sure that policy-makers and the public have the best data in the best accessible formats. I've worked on projects involving conservation, hazard mitigation, communication, land use administration, and good old cadastral management. Hopefully my experience facilitating communication between data producers and consumers can be of use to someone. Favorite Location: 40.800500,-110.461551
