We've prepared a WAB editing environment for staff to input line work. Although the edit widget is great for this, I need to be able to copy/paste a previously placed line work to ensure that any subsequent line work entered that it remain the same length and alignment. I would be great if you could just copy and existing line and paste it in and then only change some of the attributes. Is this possible? Walter

We're using the WAB to display the activity of by-law enforcement field staff where they've identified illegal dumping sites. Although the web app builder does a great job displaying attributes and locations, we really need to be able to export the map coordinates from the point features with the "Export to CSV" from the attribute table. Is this possible, or would we need to have a particular map widget that extracts this coordinate data? Appreciate any return comments. Walter

We're using an external table connected to a SQL Server data. The table name is GIS_StoneOrchard.dbo.GIS_cemetery_sites. The field names have been given alias names. After publishing the map service, the resultant REST end point shows the following field names: GIS_StoneOrchard.GEOCORTEX.%GIS_cemetery_sites.interred_persons If I query the REST end point, the following query fails: GIS_StoneOrchard.GEOCORTEX.%GIS_cemetery_sites.interred_persons like '%John%' But if I query the REST end point with the following query, the query is successful: interred_persons like '%John%' This is impacting our Geocortex Essentials site where it seems now that when Essentials queries the REST end point, the query is failing. Any comments? Walter

Staff here will soon be using the ESRI Collector app on their tablets and phones. I'm trying to set up "My Places" as bookmarks to be used inside the app. How can this be achieved? Thanks...Walter

Dan, Yes, it was a transformation problem. Wasn't selecting the proper geographic coordinate system. Now it works. Thanks. Walter

I have an excel file that has been saved in .csv format. It contains 4,375 records that has latitude/longitude coordinates in decimal degrees. I've tested some of my points singularly, and they fall within our municipal boundary. But after I've brought in the .csv file and used "Display X,Y" all of the points display out in the ocean somewhere. I cannot determine why this is happening. Can someone please comment as to the cause of this? Walter

Darren, When I do the relate, I can see every matching record in the identify dialog box, under the table it's related to. But the relate doesn't link those attributes to my main table. I've read where you can use a join, but select "Keep only matching records" and then use the tool "Copy Features" to duplicate the exact number of geometries. But I can't seem to get this to work. Am not sure whether the copy/paste will work for me. Walter

There are several internet blogs that state that you can copy the geometry of one feature, but then multiply that geometry based on a join "Keep only matching records" and then use "Copy Feature to multiply the geometry. Essentially, stacking the number of polygons one on top of each other. After bringing in my external table and manually running through the process, I never get the geometry multiplied. Or can someone please explain the necessary steps to achieve this? Does anyone have a .tbx that shows how to do this? Walter

Trying to import data from an existing file geodatabase, now that the current file geodatabase has been remodeled. Am using the "load data" utility, but when I use the query statement to extract out only one subtype, that subtype number is not visible and cannot be selected. But when I look at the properties of that feature class, I can see that that particular subtype exists. Any clues as to why this is happening? Walter

The requesting URL: http://localhost/DotNet/proxy.ashx?http://www.arcgis.com/sharing/rest/content/items/8011a4deb6414093b2017ee6e1412c34?f=json I see that line above in my developer tools tabs. And when I enter that specific line, here's the error I see: Server Error in 'DotNet' Application A connection attempt failed because the connected party did not properly respond after a period of time, or established connection failed because connected host has failed to respond 107.21.253.254:443 There's obviously a problem with my setup of my DotNet proxy. But I don't have a clue what I need to change. Walter

Am attempting to use a secure service and the API to pass credentials to my web map, but end up getting the following error after all the configuration is completed: {error: {code: Forbidden, message:"Proxy is being used from an unsupported referer: "}} Here are my steps: 1. downloaded the lastest proxy from GitHub 2. downloaded the public information template from GitHub 3. Configured the default.js file with my webmap id and oauthappid from my registered web map 4. Set the proxyurl in the default.js file to my local root directory 5. Added the urlUtils.addProxyRule in my template.js file to be the following: urlUtils.addProxyRule({ urlPrefix: "services.arcgis.com", proxyUrl: "/PublicInfoProxy/proxy.ashx" }); 6. Added my allowReferers="http://localhost/DayTwo,https://localhost/DayTwo" and set mustMatch="false" 7. Added the appid and app secret to the lines under serverUrl in my proxy.config file with the matchAll="true" 8. Changed the web.config file to reflect the logging abilities of the proxy.ie. initializeData="c:\tmp...... When I run the app, and watch the network activities using the Chrome developer tools, it gets to a line and just times out. When I input the Request Url that's in the network tab, into a brower, I get the error I've mentioned above. Also, although it seems that the proxy page is being accessed, no log file is being produced. I saw only one other post regarding this error, but I did not understand the solution. Any assistance would be appreciated.....Walter
