I solved the problem by dragging/dropping the feature dataset into a file gdb. Then I deleted the data in sde and dragged it back. Editing worked after that. Must have been some corruption from the upgrade process. I had similar issues with data that was part of a geometric network. Look like it's all set now. Thanks.

I'm using the Flex Viewer 3.4 Edit Widget. I'm working with a point feature class that has a subtype assigned to it. When I place a new point it appears for a brief moment, the edit Widget shows a message of "adding feature", then the feature disappears. I check my feature class in ArcCatalog and the feature has clearly not been added. Do subtypes play a roll in editing in Flex? Can't seem to find any info on the subject. Using ArcGIS Server & Desktop 10.1 sp1, Flex V. 3.4

I've created a geoprocessing service that selects a parcel by attributes, uses the selected parcel to search by location for all parcels within 300 ft. It then returns a table with an ownership list. I've made the selected parcels & owner list parameters in modelbuilder, then publish the service. I can see the list in a flex viewer but when trying to view the selected parcels it seems the geoprocessing service returns all of the parcels from the entire parcel layer, not just the selected ones. It works perfectly in ArcMap. In the service editor, when publishing, under parameters I've selected view results with a map service.Using ArcGIS Server & Desktop 10.1 and Flex Viewer 3.4. I'm obviously missing something.

Hi Robert, I am using the Application Builder and it is a Dynamic Layer. It's one of 4 feature classes that are part of the map service. Another is my Streets feature class which the labels appear. My Address Layer is the fc that doesn't label. The label is simply Address Number & Direction concatenated. Also, on my rest/services folder, under that map service it shows "Has Labels: true" for that Address layer and it also has a description under the Drawing Info:Labeling Info Jeremy

I've created a Zoning Service that has 4 Layers. My Streets Layer labels just fine but my Address labels do not show up in my Flex application. I can see them when I preview my Service when I create it in Desktop, but not when I add it to an .mxd or Flex Viewer. My Rest/Services shows them as being labeled under Drawing Info: Labeling Info. Any ideas. ArcGIS Server 10.1 sp1, Flex Viewer 3.4 http://maps.palatine.il.us/apps/zoning_map/

Thanks Pieta, the sites.xml works fine now. I can see all my sites. The Handler Mapping has a few references to .aspx files. I did a reinstall of both IIS and .net. Looks like everything is back in working order. I'm still puzzled why the Builder site became "corrupted" in the first place. It has happened to me a few times now with no explanation.

So, I couldn't get to the default.aspx page as well. Went the reinstall route. Now I'm having numerous other problems. To start I cannot see any of my previous applications in Builder (I did .zip them, thankfully), yet I can browse to them in IIS. Do I have to somehow reregister the App folder with Builder? Seems like they only work as localhost now. Also, I cannot connect to my ArcGIS Server services. Error states: "Invalid JSON primitive" - see attached. Still, unsure how any IIS config changes occurred in the first place.

For some reason, after a few days of inactivity, the Builder site for the Silverlight Viewer 3.1 does not load. I get a server error. It is installed on my local machine. It has worked previously without issue. The last time this happened I uninstalled/reinstalled, then it worked. The error returned is an IIS 7 error and it seems to be related to rights but it was working at one point and I haven't altered any rights regarding the Builder site. Any help would be appreciated. Using Silverlight Viewer 3.1, on Windows 7 64-bit with IIS 7.

I followed the simple deployment instructions for Silverlight Viewer 3.1. I had added the Query Add-in during development. When deployed the pop-ups only work on the queried layers (simple address & parcel data), but they do not on my map service. So I can query an address or parcel click on the returned graphics and get results, but not my service layers. They work perfectly on my development machine. Everything, data & web app servers, are on the same box. Using Server 9.3.1 currently. Any ideas?

Has this issue been resolved? I'm experiencing the same thing with Silverlight Viewer 3.1. Continues to not read my coded values. Actually some fields appear to have no info at all. Is there anything you need to be mindful of when publishing to ArcGIS Server. I can see the values in other applications such as desktop and arccatalog.

Yes, my apologies, I meant the server. We are currently at 64-bit so no need to upgrade there. Regarding the database client I'm not sure what you mean? We're currently connecting via ArcReader and a few web apps which are already migrated to the Direct Connect method. Wouldn't the database client simply be installed with ArcGIS Desktop or ArcReader? Or is there something else I should be looking at? My main concern was what to uninstall. But, looking more clearly, I would have to uninstall ArcSDE anyway because we have a desktop install on our server as well which of course would also need an upgrade. Thank you for the clarification.

So when upgrading to 10.1 from 9.3.1, and not wanting to install the 10.1 ArcSDE Server Application, do I have to uninstall ArcSDE 9.3.1 from my existing Geodatabase? Then simply run the "Upgrade Geodatabase" tool in ArcCatalog to get it to 10.1?

I'm using the Query only sample to create a simple Address/Owner Finder without a map. I can Query my map service correctly in that it populates the datagrid with the correct amount of rows. The returned rows though have no text within them or I simply cannot make the text visible. Any ideas? I didn't stray to far from the original sample. Basically changed the Service and the datadrid.column names, header, etc.

Were you able to fix this issue. I'm seeing this as well and also right clicking the find results and clicking Identify won't open the identify window. Occasionally it flashes in a minimized state then disappears entirely.
