I believe it not to be a bug, but further functionality that will be introduced in the next app update. There are two scenarios with collector either you use the integrated receiver or your device is connected from within the collector app settings. The accuracy box I think still needs some work as you can set a threshold but the 16.4 feet must be a default regardless of the true number.

Yes. With lower level GPS Receivers the integrated receiver setting is to be used. Esri has published a list of tested and viable high accuracy receivers that work directly within the app. The URL of those are above

Eric, I submitted a case to ESRI and I got on the phone with tech support and he said that at least for my situation... The Integrated Receiver was the right selection for use with my Garmin GLO. He said since the integrated receiver on the Ipad Pro uses the the signal from the GLO it doesn't need to be selected within the collector app as a location provider. I tested this and it worked if I just used the default settings. It didn't work if I selected the garmin glo as a the receiver within the collector app. They sent me these urls. I hope this helps you the second one lists the gps receivers that they support that can be used directly with the app. http://doc.arcgis.com/en/collector/ios/collect-data/high-accuracy-gps.htm http://doc.arcgis.com/en/collector/ios/create-maps/gps-receiver-support.htm http://doc.arcgis.com/en/collector/ios/create-maps/gps-high-accuracy-receivers.htm

I updated ArcGIS Collector to 10.4.0 and now that brings with it new configuration for using a receiver. My problem now is that Collector can't fix in on my location nor give me a accuracy in ft with my Garmin GLO device. When I go to turn on my location within the map the device can't find my location. I suspect it has to do with the location profile settings, but I can't seem to figure that out. My offline map is in WGS_1984_Web_Mercator _Auxillary_Sphere. The default system is GCS WGS 1984, is there a necessary profile for the garmin glo to function? Anyone else having this issue? Matthew Twietmeyer

Hello, I am trying to implement a SSO experience by using a external Auth 2.0 provider to authenticate users accessing ArcGIS Server secure ownership based access feature services. Is there documentation that shows examples of this workflow? I can't seem to find in the security documentation to this specific scenario.

I totally agree. My company is small so for internal use of a Portal user role structure would work, but for hosting client data and users I believe we will ultimately use AD for our authentication purposes in the future. I wish ESRI didn't make the structure that way for the behind the firewall old version of ArcGIS Online, but that the way its going. Maybe in the future the Portal User Strucuture will be free, but most likely not

Thanks Robert. I believe that is the case, its the way LL handles the services. I tested Portal and it didn't have this issue. So my workaround is that I will create three web maps for each level. That will guarantee that it will work with LL as we haven't moved to using Portal to manage our AGS security yet. So far no issues in my tests of the three maps and services Thanks for the help!

Hey Robert Thanks for responding! Sorry I need to be more clear. I'm not using AGOL or Portal User and Roles. I'm just wrapping ArcGIS Server Secure Services into the DEV WAB through the Local Layer Widget. So when I mean Admin its just the top level of access to the specific arcgis server dynamic layers. It's not a actual arcgis server admin account it's just one division of the three tiers of access. So see the attached photo. The top is the District operational layers that appear on login. The bottom shot is when coming in as the admin. The thing is the "admin" role doesn't have access to these individual dynamic or tiled services listed here. So the Layer List just lists all the layers that are within the Local Layer Widget window regardless that the Admin role doesn't have access to these district layers as they are seperate arcgis server services. Any thoughts?

I am trying to add 3 (Admin, District, User) level of authentication access in the form of 3 Dynamic AGS Secure Service Layers and Tiled AGS Secure Service Layers within the same DEV WAB web map. I'm using the local layer widget to add these services to the map. My problem is when adding several different level of access layers, when I login as a Admin the Layer List Widget also displays the layers of the District level in the operational layers. The Admin level role in AGS Manager does not have access to these services so I don't know why it is displaying the layers. When logging in as the District level it doesn't show the layers for the Admin level layers. Is this a known bug between the two widgets in regards to multiple secure services? Thanks, Matthew Twietmeyer

So my Layer list order on my feature layer is correct in my web map. It is correct in the legend of the feature layer in Portal 10.3.1. I know that these read a different part of the feature service json from ArcGIS Server. My Edit- Add Features list is still wrong in Portal 10.3.1 and in Collector 10.3.6 it is still wrong in Collect a New Feature for this new version 10.3.6. I have been waiting for this to be resolved, but it might have to wait till next year. I have seen that the "Types" section of the feature service json is not in the order created in ArcMap when publishing. This "types" section is the layer list that portal/collector reads when going to create new features. I have heard that 10.4 is fixing this issue in Q12016 from the source which is when publishing a feature service that this is put in the correct order like in ArcMap or the next update of Collector will read the other part of the feature service with the right layer order. Thanks for your help!

Hello, I am in the first stage of a suitability analysis for subsurface soil/groundwater. I am trying to combine two raster datasets one being a smaller extent raster of clay soil depth and one way larger groundwater depth raster. I want the two to combine with equal influence to create a raster extent that includes the clay raster layer values combined with ground water but keeps the values of the larger ground water layer that don't intersect the clay layer's extent for later stages of the suitability analysis, but I want the extent to be of the larger raster dataset and not limited to just what is within the smaller extent clay raster. I keep running the model and I continue to get the smaller extent combination regardless if I change the environmental settings of the extent to be the larger extent or union of the two inputs. Is the weigted overlay tool limited to certain processing extents? Or should I be using a different spatial analysis approach for these two rasters? Thanks, Matt

I am working on federating a different server to publish these hosted services. I already have a feature server access and services on my other arcgis server but I can not federate that server as it will dissolve all of my arcgis server accounts and roles and make portal the SSO which I can't move to because we only are allowed 5 member accounts for Portal.
