I had a couple of thoughts: 1) Notice the behavior of both the GPSpatialReference and GPCoordinateSystem. If you type in: ...the field converts it to the string above. That makes me wonder how to access the same conversion dictionary that the toobox module is using. 2) I posted a general Python topic question of how to best normalize this html table https://developers.arcgis.com/javascript/3/jshelp/gcs.html. See post at: https://community.esri.com/t5/python-questions/pd-read-html-parameters-https-developers-arcgis/td-p/1167264 Reading html tables is a general topic I would like to get better at so the topic stands alone. However, as it relates to the current situation, the idea would be to read it in and use it as a look up table. The 4326 wkid matched the string exactly. Thx. Tyler

This site https://developers.arcgis.com/javascript/3/jshelp/gcs.html has some lookups I would like access. I need help with pd.read_html parameters to read this html table in properly. I'm behind the curve with html. My preference would be to nail down the parameters to normalize the table if possible vice post processing. Thx. Tyler

Hi, The GPSpatialReference datatype within an input parameter invokes a nice user experience to select the sr... Accessing the GPSpatialReference parameter returns the following sample string: 'GEOGCS["GCS_WGS_1984",DATUM["D_WGS_1984",SPHEROID["WGS_1984",6378137.0,298.257223563]],PRIMEM["Greenwich",0.0],UNIT["Degree",0.0174532925199433]];-400 -400 1000000000;-100000 10000;-100000 10000;8.98315284119521E-09;0.001;0.001;IsHighPrecision' However, my source code is using spatially enabled dataframes (SEDFs). SEDFs deal better with WKIDs than the string above. So, I see two potential options if I want to keep the gui sr selector: 1) change to another data type that uses the gui sr selector and assigs a WKID, or, 2) Convert that string above to a WKID or something an SEDF will ingest. Any ideas how to convert that string to WKID, or know a better parameter data type? Last resort: 1) change datatype to string and collect the WKID directly. Not as end user friendly. Thank you, Tyler

@TrevisMartin, Ok, yeah, after opening the metadata the xml's were created and now I see what's going on. So, if I want to share a python toolbox I'll need to share the xml's as well or wrap it up in a gdkx. For some reason I had recalled that it was all captured in the pyt, alas not. Thank you, Tyler

@TrevisMartin et al, Thanks for the reply. I was under the impression that a .pyt was self contained written entirely in Python. So now you've got me scratching my head. Where is the meta data stored and how can I access it programmatically? Thx. Tyler

I am getting this 'error displaying widget, model not found' when working through a stand-alone Jupyter Lab. Both jupyter widgets and arcgis-map-ipywidget have been installed. The environment is a clean clone of the base environment and no license issues are found. I'm stumped. The widget works fine when using notebooks inside of ArcGIS Pro. Any suggestions. Tyler

Arcpy geoprocessing tools seem to accept SEDFs as input. How can one output to an SEDF? The only thing I can think of is to write to memory\tempOutput then convert that output to an SEDF with spatial.from_featureclass() but this seems a little too Rube Goldberg. Any thoughts. Thx. Tyler

@Anonymous User, I needed the attribute-driven-color for a project so I was thankful to find your article. The process is not exactly intuitive, so thanks for the walk through. I was a bit crushed when I got to the paragraph in your blog that the legend doesn't work. I went ahead and tested it anyway and sure enough, the legend fails. That's a show stopper. So my question is to you and others, are there any possible work-arounds to get the legend working? Thank you, Tyler

@ABishop Unix time is an integer data type I believe, so no quoting should be required, whereas the CCN is a string. The CCN, by the way, was just for testing to ensure my code was working. In any case I had tried quoting the unix time to no avail anyway. Thanks for the observation. Tyler

Creating a sedf from an AGOL is relatively straight forward, however, I hit a major stumbling block trying to query dates. I will write four codes blocks following, one that works, and three that don't, to see if somebody can point out my error. Ultimately I need to apply a where clause by the REPORTDATE column. This code works, with where clause filtering a known CCN: import pandas as pd
from arcgis.gis import GIS
gis = GIS()
search_result = gis.content.search('title:crashes in dc AND owner:DCGISopendata')
item_crash = search_result[0]
df_crash = item_crash.layers[0].query(where="CCN = '10181486'").sdf
df_crash This code does not work: ...
df_crash = item_crash.layers[0].query(where="REPORTDATE = '2010-12-17 05:00:00'").sdf
... Nor does this code using unix time: ...
df_crash = item_crash.layers[0].query(where="REPORTDATE = 1292562000000").sdf
... Nor does this between where clause: ...
df_crash = item_crash.layers[0].query(where="REPORTDATE BETWEEN 1292562000000 AND 1293512400000").sdf
... I've been banging my head against the wall on this for a while now. I've tried other permutations of stings, no strings, unix time, iso time. I have noticed three distinct time formats...AGOL Data shows 12/17/2010, 12:00AM, the arcgis FeatureSet shows unix time 1292562000000 and finally the sedf shows iso 2010-12-17 05:00:00. I'm less concerned about GMT versus local and EXACT times and more concerned about a range/between filter, so really would like to get the between working, just thought I would start with equals for testing. Let me know if you have any pointers. Thank you, Tyler

@JayantaPoddar; Ok, tried all three suggestions...no dice. Additionally, I tested all basemaps and found four are not working: Imagery, Imagery Hybrid, Oceans, USA Topo Maps If the basemap has a text reference layer, the reference layer will display, but the imagery will not, as seen in the following image: Here is a shot of the Streets basemap which is working correctly (same project file). Any further suggestions would be much appreciated. Thank you, Tyler ArcGIS Pro 2.8.3
