Hi,
I have several assets to inspect in a small area. How do I know if an asset has already been inspected so that I cannot inspect the same asset a second and third time. Is it possible to configure the Collector form app so that when the form is completed and submitted by the field worker, the point changes color according to the predefined color?
The only working alternative is the join between the feature layer and the inspection table by creating a style based on a single symbol using location.
However, this approach limits my operations since the inspections are recurrent and are done on a weekly basis. When the current round is completed, I have to truncate the inspection table for the next round. This approach is time consuming and I have to backup and archive the inspection table. But also, it is inefficient to produce a dashboard from inspections made with ArcGIS Collector.
Thank you!

Hi Ismael, Many thanks for this very relevant piece of information and ideas. Sure, after some thought, I came to the conclusion that a dashboard was the best option, combined with report generation to provide access to managers and support staff. However, one of the challenges I face is that of allowing the field team manager to edit the list of field inspectors (field workers), because there are a lot of shifts in this team. A question identifying the field workers allows you to select the name of each inspector in the form using an external choice list in csv format. This list must be accessible to the field team manager in order to be able to make the required modifications. Since the list must be in the Media repository of the survey, my concern is figuring out how to share the csv file so that any changes made by managers can be reflected in the one in the media repository . I am thinking, could implementing a scenario with Integromat help me? But I wonder where to start... Best regards,

Hi all, I'm trying to set up a question in Survey123 Connect that allows me to choose a time slot to determine two shifts. A day shift and a night shift. The day shift, in this case, begins at 12:00 p.m. and ends at 00:00 a.m., while the evening shift starts at 00:00 a.m. and ends at 12:00 p.m. Is there a way to configure these time slots in the Survey123 Connect form so that I can automatically select the current shift based on the time of day? Thank you in advance for your answers and suggestions! Regards,

Hi, We use the ArcGIS Collector field app to regularly inspect certain assets. The database model is based on a one-to-many relationship. As the field workers would like the asset (point features) to be flagged in a different color when the response is submitted, I created a hosted feature layer as a view by joining the point feature layer and the Form table that contains the results of inspections to create a thematic map based on the presence or absence of the asset. As each inspected asset is also indicated by a black dot above the point entity, it is very difficult for me to configure the map in AGOL to be able to change the color of the reported state as soon as another inspection is performed on the same asset (point feature) at a different date and time. As a workaround, I was obliged to manually save the resulting hosted feature layer to an FGDB and truncate my form table so that I could empty it and configure a new join to generate a new hosted feature layer as a view. So this approach is time consuming, I thought I would create a file database on my local machine so I could update it automatically from my hosted feature layer using a geoprocessing tool when new inspections are carried out. See attached, a screenshot showing the map configuration used with ArcGIS Collector, in ArcGIS Online. Does it make sense to use this approach as a workaround or are there other, easier ways to achieve my goal? Thank you in advance for your answers and all your suggestions and advice are welcome! Best regards,

Hello Jay, I got the same error message when I published the first time my form without creating a related table because the begin repeat and end repeat statement cannot be handled without relational tables i.e one to many relation. You don't have choice, for this to work you must define a related table as a feature layer in AOL. In my case I used GlobalID as Primary key to to relate the geometry point table and the inspection table and republish the feature layer to ArcGIS Online Organizational account as a service. When you build your survey form using a feature layer you should be able to set your form using the repeat statement to display your images and audios in Survey 123 built-in form.. Hope this help... Cheers,

Hello Jay, All your selected data type variables should be inside the begin repeat and end repeat statement. See attach below is the Excel sheet I configured to display the camera in the form. You should be able to attach your images and audios. Regards,

Hi, I have a 6 question survey with three scenarios to inventory and monitor the status of the display Advertising billboard. For the first scenario on the presence of the module, if the answer to question 1 is No, end of the questionnaire. The surveyor must report the incident to the repair team via WorkForce. If the answer to question 1 is Yes, he must continue to question 2 and so on ...Scenario 2. If the answer is Yes to Question 1 and No to question 4, we go to question 5. If No, end of the survey. Scenario 3 is identical to 2. If the answer is Yes to question 1 to 3, we continue. On the other hand, if the answer is no to question 4, we go to question 5 which identifies and ticks the choice of breakage on the list of items and go to question 6 to send a repair request or a replacement. How can I handle the survey with this scenarios? Regards,

Hello Brett, Thank you for your reply. You have just confirmed my doubt on this issue. In reality, the modifications of the inspection points via the Inbox tab make it possible to complete the answers to the questions via the form module and actually in my case I had implemented the begin repeat and end repeat function to allow the recurrence of inspections on the same point. So, I just modified the form and add the camera in the begin repeat and end repeat block and it works. However, it seems obvious to ask for an improvement to introduce this functionality in Edit mode in the InBox. I will do it on my side to give more chance to see this addition in the next versions. Thank you! Regards,

Hello, I created a form based on a point feature layer representing inspections on the state of snow removal to complete the survey. To complete the investigation, the field agent must select the point to modify and complete the survey. Everything works well, but when he tries to use the camera to take photos, it is not available in edit mode in the InBox tab. Bellow see attachment for the issue. When I created the form I set up the camera which is available in the Collect tab form. Any clues regarding this issue would be appreciated. Regards,
