Please consider adding the ability to set GPS averaging in Field Maps per feature type. We often collect a linear feature (trail) and point features along the trail (bridges, campsites, signage, etc.). I would like to be able to enable GPS averaging for point features to provide better accuracy, but not average every vertex collected for the line feature. It's cumbersome and time consuming to enable averaging when collecting a point feature and then disable it when continuing on the trail.

We primarily capture linear features (trails) and it would be very helpful if Field Maps would make a sound when it stops logging due to accuracy thresholds not being met. Often we hike many miles when collecting data, and it's challenging to also be watching the screen in Field Maps to ensure collection is ongoing while also watching your step on trails. We are using an Android device, and I've gotten it to vibrate when the logging stops, but in cold season months, the vibration isn't always felt through gloves. It seems like it wouldn't be much more to add a sound. After speaking with ESRI staff at a recent conference, it was suggested to add this as an Idea. Previously we used TerraSync and the GPS unit would beep every time a vertex was collected. This enabled us to keep our eyes on the trail when logging the trail line. When the beeping stopped, you knew the accuracy dropped and collection ceased. A beep for every vertex collection isn't necessary, but a noise when data collection ceases due to decreased accuracy would be much appreciated!

I agree - segmenting line features in Field Maps would be very helpful to us. This would enable us to simply segment the line when an attribute changes, but maintain clean topology. The process I envision would be 1) Begin collection of a linear feature with one set of attributes 2) Where an attribute changes, select a "segment" button. All previous attributes would carry through and you would only need to change the attribute that changed. 3) When done with the entire trail, Submit the feature. Or, the feature could be submitted when the line is segmented in addition to submitting when collection of the entire trail is complete. We also used this often in TerrySync, but have now changed our workflow to Field Maps.

I am also having this issue in ArcGIS Pro 3.2.1. If I sort the field in ArcGIS Online, it sorts correctly, however it will not sort in ArcGIS Pro. Other fields in this hosted feature layer do sort correctly in ArcGIS Pro.

Ha! Usually I try closing Pro and opening it again when things don't work, but I forgot this time. That resolved it! Thanks for the reminder!

Thanks for the suggestion. I've swapped out the Calculate Field Tool to the one in your screenshot, but it didn't resolve the issue. It still runs successfully in ModelBuilder (with no errors or warnings), and now I get a slightly different error when running through the Geoprocessing Pane.

Often when I create a model, it works if I run it in ModelBuilder, but it does not work if I run it through the Geoprocessing Pane. In my current example, I created a simple model to calculate the latitude and longitude and then concatenate them in one field with the latitude listed first. It runs great within ModelBuilder, but when I run it through the Geoprocessing Pane, I get the following errors. I'm using ArcGIS Pro 3.1.0, but I've had this issue with other models in previous versions of ArcGIS Pro, too.

Hi, The Edit button appeared in builder as you described. I made a couple of edits, saved them, and the configure button did appear. However, now when I click the configure button or try to view the app, I get the following error "An error has occurred, Invalid configuration." The only changes I made were to remove a few uploaded pictures from the App and add them back in with a link from a URL (and the link is still valid). Thanks, Tiffany

I used the tabbed story map template to create a story map hosted on ArcGIS Online. To enable a coworker to edit the app, I changed ownership to him (I am the administrator). Since I have done that, the "configure app" button is missing - neither him nor I have the button. It doesn't come back if I take ownership back, either. The same time, I also gave my coworker ownership of a gallery app and we are both still able to configure that app. My questions: 1) What happened to the "configure app" button? Is the missing "configure app" button an unresolved bug, or is there something I'm missing? 2) What is the best way to enable more than one person to edit a web app. Do I need to change the ownership? (I did make it part of a group, but it didn't appear that my coworker, also part of that group, could edit it without being the owner. His organization role is set as "publisher".) Thank you, Tiffany

You are correct, based on my field choices it is looking at a different layer as a potential Map Tour layer. If I turned the layer off that AGO was looking at as a potential Map Tour layer, it did give me the option to create the Map Tour layer on AGO. Thank you!

I want to create a Story map that contains a web map hosted on ArcGIS Online and use ArcGIS Online to host my images. 1) If I try creating the Story Map from the web map (via the Share/Create WebMap), it appears to be looking for a file within that webmap that has the map tour points "The application cannot determine the appropriate name, caption or color data. Please select the fields to be used here. These settings can be changed at a later time." and I am unable to bypass this. 2) If I try creating the Story Map from the storymaps.arcgis.com website, it gives me the option to create a feature service to host the map tour points, but I can't figure out how change the base map to my web map. My work around is to start creating a story map via #2 above so that it creates a map tour point feature service. Then I add that feature service to my web map and create the story map via #1. Is there a better way to do this? Tiffany

Is it possible to redirect an existing Story Map App map to a new map within my Organization on ArcGIS Online? I did a "save as" on the original web map that the Story Map was based off of, edited the original map for other purposes, and now lost my map tour layer (though it exists on my new "saved as" map). I'd like to point the Story Map App to my new map.
